Hello! I'm Ashley Maria Bermudez, and I graduated from the University of Central Florida as a print/digital journalism major with a minor in humanities and cultural studies.

A professor once told me that journalism is a never-ending school as journalists continuously learn about the community they serve. That is why I love journalism; I'm always learning about my community and providing reliable news that highlights the good and the bad.

During the summer, I was a web intern for WKMG News 6 and continued my role as copy chief for NSM Today. I have also interned for the Orlando Weekly to write news and features.

I was a staff writer and copy chief for Centric Magazine and wrote a long-form narrative in memory of a former student who died of cancer.

As the UCF Hispanic community beat reporter for my mobile journalism class' collaboration with the Orlando Sentinel, I wrote copy in Spanish and produced videos.
