Ashley Maria Bermudez is a senior journalism major at the University of Central Florida graduating in Spring 2022. She is minoring in humanities and cultural studies.

She is currently a staff writer and the copy chief for Centric magazine, which will be released near the end of November. As the copy chief, she edits, fact-checks and reviews all copy for the print magazine. As a staff writer, she produced a long-form narrative in memory of a former student who passed away during the summer.

Ashley is also a Hispanic community beat reporter for her online journalism class' collaboration with the Orlando Sentinel.

She was previously a student life beat reporter for NSM Today, covering social issues, events and human-interest stories. She has also covered faculty and Student Government news.

She will be interning for Orlando Weekly in the spring of 2022.
