Hello! I'm Ashley Maria Bermudez, and I graduated from the University of Central Florida as a print/digital journalism major with a minor in humanities and cultural studies.

As a copy editor for Virginia Media, I create budget lines and edit stories to match AP style for the company's products, including The Virginian-Pilot, the Daily Press and the Virginia Gazette.

A professor once told me that journalism is a never-ending school as journalists continuously learn about the community they serve. That is why I love journalism; I'm always learning about my community and providing reliable news that highlights the good and the bad.
